Hey all, I just wanted to update you again with some goings on behind the scenes. Here's where we are with the project?

• Digital content is on its way to being finalised, organised and uploaded!
• Roll20 and FoundryVTT modules are nearly finished
• BackerKit is progressing as expected.
• Physicals....we have some issues.

Some...Issues

Having now recovered from my illness, I've gone through all of the books to check for printing issues, and unfortunately there are quite a few...so much so that we won't have enough for fulfillment. The main issue appears to be this weird white line across the bottom of the pages which causes a bit of a misalignment between pages, and I don't feel confident in giving these to you at the full price (for obvious reasons). 

So...what I've done is added them to the BackerKit store at a discounted price if you don't mind these lines. 

I've also reached out to the printer about these issues and should hope to hear back soon. I am STILL hoping to fulfill physical products in February...but just be warned that it might need to be pushed back a couple of weeks while I get this sorted.

Happy New Year! And On Our Way To Fulfillment! BackerKit Surveys Out NOW!!

Hi all! First of all, I wanted to wish you an amazing New Year! I started off this year GREAT, and then VERY quickly went downhill with an illness that has lasted way too long for my liking. Let's get into the updates!

BackerKit Surveys

Yesterday a smoke test of some initial BackerKit surveys, and well, nothing's gone wrong there so...let's release them all! I am sure NOTHING can go wrong. XD

Reminder: You have until the 31st of January to sort out your physical addresses. After this date, I will give 48 hours to lock your orders, then charge cards on the 2nd-3rd of February, and finally another 48 hours to lock addresses. This is to make it into the first batch of books being sent out.

Sample Books Are Here...So's The Tobias' Tower Maps...

Ah yeah! We also got some samples of the full book ordered in and they are looking FANTASTIC. We've already put in the final order for the books, and look forward to getting them within the next couple of weeks. 

On top of this, I managed to get the Tobias' Mage Tower of Terror maps done before I became ill...so we have all of those have arrived too... AS OF TODAY. 

So...Where Are We?

We are running dead on schedule so far, despite some shake ups. All physical content is done and getting prepared for shipping (minus the final books order), we've just got the digital content to organise and sort out, including the FoundryVTT and Roll20 modules (although the module just got approved for this). I am estimating a mid-end February fulfillment, but we shall see how we go!

Yeah, that's right! The theme of the next Kickstarter project will be DUNGEONS! I've spent a month (as usual) wracking my brains and trying to work out HOW ON EARTH to make this modular. I went through another lot of design processes with this one, but settled on this idea! Check it out using the link below! :D

Minor Clarification Regarding Survey And Fulfillment!

Hi all, I know there was a slight bit of confusion with the survey so I wanted to clarify some little bits first.

Preliminary Survey

This survey was primarily used to get some preliminary results regarding where you guys came from and to me the most important question, the next battlemap book theme. I wanted to use this to go with the most popular theme and think ahead until next year (currently I am thinking ahead to the next 3-4 months).

How will you get the details to ship rewards?

I will be using BackerKit, a pledge manager to do this. For those that don't know, this is also where I can collect the relevant details in order to ship the rewards. It seamlessly imports the details from Kickstarter to BackerKit. Here's an idea of what to expect here:

• Add-on store - in case you want to pick up extra battlemap books, adjust your pledge etc.
• Confirmation statement - this is mandatory just to tick a box and confirm your pledge.
• Physical backers will also get a request to pop in their physical address here, so that their rewards may be shipped.

And that's it really. Upon confirmation, you will get your rewards sent to you via BackerKit through email. I will be using Google Drive as I have done in previous Kickstarter campaigns. Here are some changes from last time:

• This time I will also be uploading tracking numbers to BackerKit to track physical rewards.
• Tidy up digital rewards, and make it easier to fulfill.

When will this happen?

• Physical backers can expect to get a BackerKit survey 'invite' around mid-January to submit their physical address, with a deadline of 31st of January for the first batch of shipments.
• Digital backers will get invited to confirm their pledges in February when ALL rewards are ready to go out. Digital rewards will go out at the same time the physicals start to get shipped.

Andddddd That's A Wrap!! What next and when to expect rewards!

Hey all! I first of all just wanted to thank you guys so much for the support...this is the biggest Kickstarter I have done so far and the amount of support from this one is IMMENSE! In this update, I wanted to go through what to expect next.

First of all, campaign stats. How many battlemap books have you map hoarders picked up? Let's have a look!

What's Next?

Preliminary Survey

First of all, you will get a preliminary survey which will launch after this update. This includes various questions, such as where you heard about this Kickstarter BUT more importantly the THEME of the next book. Be sure to answer as soon as you can, so I can start thinking about ideas for it! ;)

Waiting For Funds and Early New Year!

While we are waiting to receive the funds from Kickstarter (~2 weeks), I will be taking a break over Christmas, and recharge my batteries a bit! However, here are some preliminary plans we have over the course of January and into the fulfillment period in February.

Creating and Fulfilling - Our Timeline

• Early January - get samples of the battlemap book ordered to test the changes we made!
• Mid January - if we are happy with the design, we will put in the order for the main lot of battlemap books (both city and forest).
• Throughout January - finalise all digital rewards and also get Tobias' Mage Tower of Terror ordered!
• Early-Mid February - preparation for physical goods, for shipping in late February.

Information for You

• In early January, the theme of the next battlemap book will be revealed, which will be based on YOUR votes!
• In mid January I will open the BackerKit pledge manager so you can confirm your pledges, get any add-ons and add your address. The deadline for this will be the 31st of January if you wish to be in the first batch that gets shipped out.
• End of January - deadline for address if you want to be in the initial batch of physical goods that get shipped.
• February - fulfillment time!

Community Spotlight - The S.I.M.P.L.E System

The SIMPLE System offers a straightforward, pick-up-and-play experience without overwhelming newcomers with complex rules— while still allowing plenty of opportunities for character customization.

While, the SIMPLE system is currently in its early stages, offering a straightforward foundation, with proper funding, this RPG has the potential to evolve into something much more! Future expansions include Monster Templates, NPC Templates, One-Page Dungeons, Magic Items, Custom Weapons, and much more.
